Rogue | Woodway Curve LTG Treadmill

Official Treadmill of CrossFit & the CrossFit Games

Rogue has joined forces with Woodway USA to introduce this exclusive Rogue-branded model of the Curve LTG Treadmill. A great option for home gyms and small commercial settings, this unique, non-motorized treadmill features a belt that’s directly controlled by the user’s own stride and cadence, making it customizable to almost any athlete. An updated console also introduces a variety of new improvements and tracking features for getting the most out of every workout.

Woodway’s advanced, ergonomic design puts less stress on the joints, tendons, and muscle tissue, and the curved uprights and non-slip side covers reduce falls and provide a stable platform to step up or off of the treadmill.

The new and improved LCD display tracks a broad range of metrics: Speed (Current/Peak/Average); Time (Total/Pace); Calories (via a new ACSM formula), and Heart Rate when paired via Bluetooth or ANT+. Distance is now displayed to the hundredths place (0.01) and available to track in Miles, Kilometers, Yards, or Meters, with the selected setting remaining in the display throughout an entire run (users can quick toggle between miles and km with a convenient 5-second hold of the top left side key). A convenient Group/Circuit mode also enables easy training among groups, with the ability to track and summarize the stats of up to four runners.

The Curve LTG Rogue Edition comes with Woodway’s patented slat-belt, complete with a TPE covering. Proven to reduce shock and improve comfort compared with traditional treadmill belts, this design is equally suited for walking, jogging, middle distance runs, and HIIT training.

The new and improved LCD display includes the following updates:

  • Distance is now displayed to the hundredths place (0.01) for Miles and Kilometers
  • Distance display starts and remains in the selected setting throughout the entire run
  • Quick toggle between Miles and Kilometers with a 5-second hold of the top left side key
  • Improved calorie tracking metric per ACSM formula

Self Powered w/ Zero Electricity

The patented Woodway LTG Curve is a 100% manual treadmill, available here with exclusive Rogue branding. When running or walking on the unique curved running surface, the nearly frictionless slat belt system of the LTG enables the user to control the “motor” through their own movement. To speed up, they can simply start running. To slow down, they can drift back down the curve. In this way, the ergonomically designed machine is adaptable to athletes of any size and skill level, providing a challenge for the entire body while minimizing stress on the joints, tendons, and muscle tissue. No max speed limitations and no outlet necessary.

Wish I could return this
I sold my assault runner and bought this treadmill based on the reputation of rogue and woodway, and have been extremely disappointed in my decision to do so. The monitor is the first issue. Rogue has already sent me a new monitor, claiming that the issues would be fixed on the new one, but they remain the same. The monitor is not intuitive to use with all the buttons and the way they are labeled. They also uploaded instructions on how to do a software update on their website. These instructions did not work since the app used to update is outdated and broken which has left my monitor in a frustrating use state. The inability to change units from miles to meters, the countdown feature and the delayed power on time when you start running makes this treadmill very inconvenient for standard CrossFit training. The construction of the treadmill itself is heavy and sturdy, however, it is very difficult to run on compared to an assault runner. There seems to be an added resistance that is unable to be turned off. I was able to do distance running on my assault runner, and I have lost that feature due to how heavy this track feels. Overall this product feels like it was released a couple years too early, which is disappointing given the price tag and the reputable brands behind it. I would love to be able to return this item.

Rouge Woodway A Shockingly Bad Experience
I recently purchased the Rogue Woodway Curve Treadmill, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. I was initially drawn to the Rogue model due to my positive experiences with the original Woodway Curve and its made in America. However, the quality and service I received fell far below my expectations. To begin with, I received a treadmill that was clearly used and had visible scratches despite ordering a brand-new product. After raising this issue, the company offered a $1,000 discount, which hardly compensated me for not getting what I paid for. Furthermore, the treadmill has a major flaw – it gives a significant static shock during use. This was surprising and unacceptable, especially since I have been using the Woodway Curve for over three years without any such issue. When I contacted customer service, they brushed it off as a common problem with non-motorized treadmills, which is not true, as evidenced by my own experience and that of others. The software and programming of the treadmill are also problematic. An update promised to fix these issues has been ineffective on my treadmill despite many hours spent trying to get it to work. I would suggest that you steer clear of the Rogue Woodway Curve Treadmill. It might be worth spending a bit more to get the original Woodway Curve, which offers a far better and more reliable experience.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are glad we were able to work with you to ultimately get your issues resolved. As a general update, anti-static coating is now applied to each unit to eliminate the static you experienced. In addition, Woodway has released multiple software updates that are already included on new units and are now available under the software update tab on this page for existing customers.

Great for me
We put this in our garage gym. My wife, in-laws and I are all using it pretty regularly a month or so into ownership. We're all at various fitness levels, and none of us had any experience to speak of on manual treadmills. The assembly instructions sucked and I was busy, so my wife and father-in-law put it together, but we're all happy with the machine.

The good, the bad and the ugly
The GOOD: I bought this on a Wednesday and it was shipped out the next morning and delivered the following day-in less than 48 hours it was on my porch! It took less than an hour to unbox and assemble (you will likely need a helper unboxing the actual body of the unit-even though it's on wheels to get it out of the wood frame, up a step, etc the body weighs around 260lbs) . This treadmill is SOLID. Could easily hold up in a commercial setting or home use. The treads are smooth as butter for walking or running. ***Once you get the software updated the distance accuracy, etc is all on point***. I haven't gotten into a lot of the different features but for tracking speed, time and distance it seems to be great so far and much easier on my knees, joints and lower back. It also works the hamstrings and glutes considerably more than other treadmills or walking or running. This was the primary reason I got it as my PT recommended for help with some nerve damage from hemorrhaging discs and sciatic issues. Plus, its dark when i wake up and get off work and it's getting cold outside...much more convenient to have one indoors if you have the space. The BAD: The verdict is still out on my monitor possibly being damaged. About 1/3 of the time when it starts up the top and bottom of monitor have lines going through it. Like, a lot of lines. 2/3 of the times the monitor is crystal clear. After speaking with rogue and submitting pics, they have opened an inquiry and if the problem persists they will be shipping a new monitor. It's been assembled and in use for 36 hours so I can't comment on wether or not the software update fixed this issue for good...however, if you pay $4,000 for a treadmill that has a history of monitor issues, I would've assumed that each monitor is quality checked before it is shipped to the customer. The UGLY: The software update. While other users state a bad experience with assembly instructions, I found the assembly to be straightforward and very easy. Honestly it could've been completed in about 30 min had I not taken some phone calls. The software update instructions on the other hand are an absolute cluster ***k. Again, for the price of this unit and with previous complaints I feel that the monitor should've been shipped with the update already installed. If that's too much to ask then at least make a step by step guide, covering all the basis points (IN ORDER) in crystal clear instructions. I am not the most tech savvy person in the world but also have plenty of experience with apps and installing updates on different platforms. This was a nightmare. Make sure you download the .bit file 1st to your computer (IT IS ON ROGUE'S WEBSITE), then email it to yourself so you get it on your phone. Then download the app on your phone. Then add the attachment to the app on your phone. Then hold the 3 buttons they mention to initiate bluetooth on the treadmill. Then open the app and follow the in app instructions. This is NOT how the instructions are currently laid out and without mentioning the file is actually on Rogue's website in the instructions it took me hours to figure this out. I mean, whoever put these instructions together should not be in that position any longer. It was beyond sloppy and given that this is the 'official treadmill of the crossfit games'...Rogue is going to have a lot more complaints if they don't change the software update instructions or start shipping the treadmill with the software update already on it. Overall, The first 36 hours of use have been excellent as far as the machine is concerned and I would highly recommend it for sure. It really is smooth and reduces stress on the joints-much more so than other curved manual treadmills. But buyers be aware of the absolute garbage software update instructions and potential issues with the monitor.

Don’t do it get the assault runner!
Don’t do it! I am stuck with mine. I switched out from assault. Main complaint is the monitor and how it track distances and calories which you think they could figure out. Very annoying countdown every time you get on which makes it super annoying to use for WODs with multiple rounds of running. Wish I would have kept our assault runner as they are much easier to use and I don’t really notice a difference in the running performance. I stuck with rogue only because thought they would address the issues. They sent new monitors but basically the only thing they changed was it goes to the hundredth of a mile instead of just a tenth which I guess was helpful but didn’t even come close to fixing many of the other issues. Sorry for typos just saw they are still selling and wanted to make sure I wrote something to save someone else a huge headache. Get the assault runner!

Super Disappointing
Maybe I had too high of expectations for one of the “newest” curve runners on the market by two of the best companies to do CrossFit and running, but I couldn’t have been more disappointed with the experience. The treadmill itself is sturdy and meets expectations, but the handles are overly sloped down for beginners. The worst part is the startup time (screen startup time and then a super annoying 3-2-1 countdown) for the monitor and changing from km to miles is a TERRIBLE process that requires you to be spinning the treadmill and using two hands simultaneously to press buttons. There are so many buttons on the monitor, why couldn’t one just quickly toggle between units of measure? Lastly, with the resistance off it still runs slower/harder than the Assault Air Runner. Would definitely not buy another and would return it if it was cost-effective.

The good and the bad rogue woodway curve
Just put my rogue woodway curve together and took it for a run. It’s awesome, sturdy, the monitor is great, the tread is great, walk or run is smooth like butter. The not so great: no instructions, the QR code link was not satisfactory. Basically the QR code linked you to what the display monitor is. I had to search on Google how to put the treadmill together. Which led me to Woodways website. The instructions were alright. But in 2023 you should have a video tutorial as you get a better understanding by watching and listening to live action vs reading and still pics. I had a ton of screws left which makes me wonder…..the panel that encloses the hand rail at the bottom doesn’t fit, so I’m only able to put one screw in (yes I’m sure I put the right panel on the right and the left on the left, many times in fact with other people watching to make sure I wasn’t crazy). At the end of the day I got it up and running in spite of the panel issue. It works fine and I honestly feel it is safe to use in-spite of the few flaws. I’m happy with it, however rogue and woodway, for $4,300.00 everything should fit perfectly and there should be precise clear cut instructions that leaves no doubt and not wondering of why there are so many extra parts not needed.
