• Bare Steel Finish – Bare Steel provides one of the best overall grip surfaces of any barbell. Because it offers a completely uncoated finish, there is nothing to come between your skin and the steel as is the case with a coated finish (Zinc, Chrome, Cerakote, etc…). It also takes chalk very well. The downside to bare steel is that it’s very prone to oxidation. There is no preventing it, although 3-in-1 oil or similar is commonly used to mitigate it. 
• IPF Certified – This bar has been approved by the International Powerlifting Federation to be used in competition. The IPF emblem is embossed in red on the shaft.
