Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0

The Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0 is a very popular ladder-style adjustable bench with solid specs including 6 back adjustments, a small pad gap, vertical storage potential, and more.

Read more below.

Features & Highlights

  • Ladder Design – The ladder design on the Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0 is faster and easier to use than a telescoping spine. This bench utilizes a ladder on both the seat and the back. The bench uses 2×3 11-gauge steel on the frame and it ships fully assembled, which is a great benefit.
  • # of Adjustments – The bench offers 6 back adjustments and 2 seat adjustments for a total of 12 potential adjustment options. The back pad ranges from 0 degrees to 85, and the seat can adjust to flat to incline to accommodate an incline back position. This bench doesn’t offer as many adjustment options as the REP AB-5200 or the Vulcan Prime Adjustable, but it hits the primary elevations to cover the majority of movements.
  • Pad/Seat Gap – There is a minimal gap of around 2″ between the seat and the back pad when in the flat position. This makes it more manageable and comfortable when performing a flat bench press, as some adjustable benches can be problematic for some users given their larger gaps.
  • Pad width – The pad on the Adjustable Bench 2.0 is 11.25″, which is a bit narrower than the more common 12″. This ultimately comes down to personal preference: some users like a wider pad while others like a narrower option.
  • Weight Limit – Rogue doesn’t state a weight rating on this bench, but I’m confident it can handle whatever you can throw at it. Most benches in this class have a 1,000+lb weight rating – I see nothing about this design that would lead me to believe Rogue couldn’t match that.
  • IPF Height – A great benefit of this bench that separates it from something like the REP AB-5200 is that it sits at 17.5″ (vs. 18″), which is within IPF specs. If you’re training specifically for powerlifting, this is a very nice feature. Even if you aren’t, this height will allow for better leg drive. The single-post front foot also gives your feet more freedom to find a good position.
  • Includes Wheels & Handle – Like most adjustable benches, this bench does include a handle and wheels. This handle is horizontal and it sits low on the frame giving you good leverage.
  • Grippy Vinyl – This bench offers a textured vinyl that helps reduce slippage while benching. Rogue has some of the best vinyl in the industry in my experience.
  • Optional Upright Storage – While I wish this bench came with an included upright storage feature, you do have the option to purchase one separately for a small upcharge.
  • Optional Spotter Deck – Users also have the option to include a spotter deck, which is useful if you train with a partner and need a spotter.
  • Made in America – This bench is made in the USA.

What They’re Saying at Roguefitness.com

The Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0 receives excellent feedback from users. With an average rating of 5/5, here are some of the things people have said at roguefitness.com:

Positive

  • “This bench is an absolute beast and is much more heavy and solid than you are likely imagining. I couldn’t be happier with the investment and it has been a tremendous addition to our home studio.”
  • “This incline bench is extremely heavy but has wheels to make it easy to move. It will built to withstand the competition / very busy gyms. Overkill for a personal gym but I know it will last longer then my house will.”
  • “The adjustable 2.0 is a beast of a bench. This thing is heavy duty and will stand up to any commercial piece of equipment in the same category. Rogue did it again – nice work”
  • “I could not be happier with my Rogue Adjustable Bench 2.0. It is very sturdy, comfortable and easy to adjust.”
  • “Very well made and extremely sturdy. Best part was no assembly was required.
  • “Literally the best bench I have ever used and/or owned, I can’t think of a single way to improve it. This bench is very stable, very comfortable, and really easy to move and roll-around as well. Definitely worth the money!”

Critical

  • “Negative: the incline isn’t high enough to provide a proper seat platform for incline press. One more rung higher on the seat selector cutouts would make it 100%.”
  • “5 stars (sturdy, comfortable, etc.) except for the fact that the wheels are SO noisy. It just about brings the entire weight room to their knees with their hands over their ears. I need to find a way to WD-40 that or something. Not like Rogue to have a little design flaw like that. Oh well. No one is perfect. For the price and quality, I’d still get it again. I’m just going to be prepared to prep those wheels.”
