Features & Highlights
- 2 Grip Widths/4 Total Grip Options – The Elitefts American Multi-Angle Press Bar offers two grip widths, including a more extreme angle on the outer handles and a steeper angle near the center. If you flip the bar over, you can access the opposite angle, giving you four total grip options.
- Rackable – This bar is rackable and will fit any space between 39.5″ and 50.5″, which essentially covers all bases.
- Sleeve Length – On the American Multi-Angle Press Bar, you get a sleeve length of 15.5″, which is on the higher end of the spectrum for this style of bar.
- OD Green Powder Coat Finish – Powder Coat is a very common finish on specialty bars. It does a good job at limiting oxidation, but it does tend to show scuffs easily, especially on the sleeves and rack contact points.
- Non-Olympic Sized Sleeve – The sleeves on The Elitefts American Multi-Angle Press Bar are not Olympic-sized, which means you will need specialty collars. My personal recommendation is Proloc since they can be used on any bar. They would very well and they’re well-priced.
From the Manufacturer
Straight bar benching is not always the healthiest for our joints. Reverse-grip bench pressing with a straight barbell is not wrist friendly by any means. Limiting your freedom to bench how you want!? That’s not very American, now is it?
This bar is our solution: We aimed to create a barbell that lets us reverse-grip bench pain free and then we decided to throw in another set of handles for more muscle-fiber destruction! What we ended up with was a bar that provided a GREAT angle for standard benching that is easy on your wrist but heavy on your muscles. Regular benching, reverse grip benching, tricep extensions, close grip benching, semi-supinated rows… even multiple styles of bicep curls… the possibilities with this bar are endless.
We found it fitting that this bar should come in one color: OD Green- Because Military and ‘Merica.
What They’re Saying at Elitefts
The Elitefts American Press Bar receives very good, but limited feedback users. With an average rating of 5/5, here are some of the things people have said at elitefts.com.
Positive
- “perfect for those with achy shoulders.I use this bar strictly to do reverse bench and JM presses as the angles are perfect. Love the sandpaper powder coat, color and the addition of the single knurl ring on the angled handles.”
- “I have a few months of training with this bar and I can highly recommend it. I’m 5’10” with a 50″ chest and the grip angles are perfect for my build. The coating is leagues better than the clear coat on some of the other EFS bars-DOES NOT CHIP OR FLAKE. Great bar for reverse grip or close grip and easy on the shoulders for regular benching. It’s also rackable. Must have bar for the home gym.”
