Features & Highlights

  • Bolt-Together Design – The Sorinex Utility Bench offers a 2×2 11-gauge steel bolt-together design that requires assembly.
  • Weight Limit – Sorinex does not state a weight limit on their site for this bench, although similar designs almost unanimously rate at 700+lbs.
  • Premium Upholstery – Like on all of their upholstered pieces, Sorinex uses double-stitched Naugahyde leather on the pad, which measures 48″ x 12″. Sorinex also provides the option to pick your upholstery color.
  • Not IPF Height – This bench measures 18″ tall from the floor, which puts it just outside of the ~17.7″ max height allowed by the IPF.

What They’re Saying at Sorinex.com

The Sorinex Utility Bench receives very positive, but limited feedback from users. With an average rating of 5/5, here is what has been said at Sorinex.com:

Positive

  • “I chose Sorinex for my flat bench because of the heavy duty design. The legs and feet are welded as an inverted T rather than bolted together as on other benches I considered; two thick plates and four large bolts secure each leg to the top support beam, and the top beam has heavy duty support flanges at each end that extend to the edges beneath the bench top, which assure that the top will not wobble on the beam. The top is solid and firm, and the Naugahyde covering is well sewn and securely attached to the underlying wood. This a solid, strong bench. I can’t imagine that building it with 3×3 beams rather than the 2×2 it’s got would make it, in any practical sense, more durable or safe.”
